On Tuesday, October 18, Rachel Kyte, CEO of Sustainable Energy for All and Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, will deliver a lecture entitled “Looking Up: How coalitions of bottom-up organizations are driving action for sustainable development” at Emerson Hall. Kyte will discuss how the work of organizations can accelerate the national energy plans that countries around the world are currently putting into action. This event is the latest installment of the STS Program’s Science & Democracy series and will be followed by discussion with experts: William Clark, Professor of International Science, Public Policy, and Human Development at Harvard Kennedy School; Henry Lee, CGBC Advisory board member and Director of the Environment and Natural Resources Program at Harvard Kennedy School; and Michael Mehling, Executive Director of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEPR), MIT.
