On Thursday February 11 Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs will present a lecture entitled “The Age of Sustainable Development” based on his new book on sustainable growth and urbanization. Professor Sachs is the director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University, a research institute with a mission to address complex issues facing the planet and its inhabitants, with particular focus on sustainable development and the needs of the world’s poor.
