CGBC Postdoctoral Fellow Ying Liu’s recent article about evaluating unidirectional pedestrian flow by describing diffusion behavior was published in the new edition of Mathematical Problems in Engineering, a “peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes results of rigorous engineering research carried out using mathematical tools.” Liu, along with her co-authors Cheng Sun and Yiming Bie, builds a macroscopic model for describing crowd diffusion behavior and evaluating unidirectional pedestrian flow.
