Research & Innovation Talks: The High-Rise Residential Typology and Energy Performance

Patricia Correa, Research Associate at the CGBC, will highlight key topics that are discussed in her report titled “The High-Rise Residential Typology and Energy Performance,” including the morphological characteristics of these dominant urban forms, their effect on the local environment, their energy consumption, and the health of their occupants. The presentation will begin with a short history of the high-rise, followed by the current challenges of these building types, and will conclude by speculating about the future of high performance and net zero high-rises.
