Fast Company: Harvard’s new HouseZero showcases efficiency retrofits

Fast Company profiled the CGBC’s newly completed HouseZero project, heralding its transformation from old house to ultra-efficient sustainable building. The piece highlights HouseZero as a prototype of a solution to a major problem: buildings in the U.S. are responsible for around 40% of energy consumption, and most of our building stock is old. By creating both a prototype and an infrastructure for long-term research, the CGBC hopes to raise interest in ultra-efficient retrofits and inspire substantial shifts in the design and operation of buildings.
