GSD Symposium on Architecture: “Anachronometrics”

On Friday, October 14, the Graduate School of Design will present a symposium sponsored by the CGBC on “Anachronometrics,” a neologism denoting an act of temporal displacement in which one seizes on the future or past as a point of comparison, to emphasize differences. A series of talks by GSD faculty and conversations will examine the relationships that contemporary architects and commentators on architecture have established between history and practice. This last episode of the Symposium on Architecture: “All that is Solid . . . ” organized by Iñaki Ábalos, CGBC affiliate and Professor in Residence of Architecture, which has explored issues that architects face in the process of designing buildings.
