CGBC Research & Innovation Talks: “Data-oriented Modeling for Buildings and Systems”

The Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities will present a series of Research & Innovation Talks. Given by members of the CGBC Research Team, talks will highlight and discuss projects underway at the Center.

On Tuesday, November 24th, CGBC Postdoctoral Fellow Bin Yan will present: “Data-oriented Modeling for Buildings and Systems.”

1:15 pm – 2:15pm
20 Sumner Road, Room 1D
Lunch will be provided.
Talks are open to members of the Harvard community. Space is limited. Please RSVP to Jeff Fitton ([email protected]).

Bin Yan, Ph.D., Post Doctoral Fellow
Bin’s primary research areas are building simulation, HVAC system fault detection, and data analytics for buildings and systems. Her recent research projects include quantifying uncertainties in HVAC system operations, and developing data-oriented models to predict building energy demand and HVAC system performance for the purpose of decision-making. Bin received both her Bachelor and Master of Engineering from Tsinghua University. She received her PhD degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she conducted a dissertation on “A Bayesian Approach for Predicting Building Cooling and Heating Consumption and Applications in Fault Detection.
